Customer Question

I used your site on Sept 29,2016 and was informed to replace the limit thermostat, which I did,and it worked for about 3 days. And now I'm not getting any juice at all into the switch,so I can't even check the error flash codes. Could it be the thermostat, the switch that turns the power on to the furnace,or the switch on the bottom furnace door itself? I was also emailed 10.00 off my next time I needed you.

I tried by-passing both switches and still nothing.
Expert:  airheatman replied 11 months ago.

Make sure door button is pushed in and see if you get any power to board

Customer: replied 11 months ago.
Already did that, the little red light does not come on.
Customer: replied 11 months ago.
I have the main switch that goes to the furnace on.
Customer: replied 11 months ago.
Is there anybody out there?
Expert:  airheatman replied 11 months ago.

Using a volt meter test wires where they first enter furnace for 120v

Customer: replied 11 months ago.
Okay,I had to go buy a voltage meter, now what do I set it at and which tester do I use,the red or the black?
Customer: replied 11 months ago.
Okay,online is fine.
Customer: replied 11 months ago.
There is juice from the wires going into the furnace,it's reading 124.6 volts.
Customer: replied 11 months ago.
Now what?
Expert:  airheatman replied 11 months ago.

Check between LINEH and LINE-N on board for 120v

Expert:  airheatman replied 11 months ago.

Then unplug th 12 pin plug from board and check for 24v between red and blue

Customer: replied 11 months ago.
Can you send me a picture as to where I would find these places on the board?
Expert:  airheatman replied 11 months ago.

Sent both are you not getting them?

Customer: replied 11 months ago.
Okay I'm not getting any reading between line H and line N.
Expert:  airheatman replied 11 months ago.

Make sure door switch is pushed in

Customer: replied 11 months ago.
Still nothing,with switch pushed in.
Expert:  airheatman replied 11 months ago.

OK check from Line N to the other side of door switch

Customer: replied 11 months ago.
Still nothing.
Expert:  airheatman replied 11 months ago.

Show me on diagram where you had 124.6 Volts

Customer: replied 11 months ago.
I don't know how to show you on the diagram, but you have the hot line (red wire)coming in at the junction box, then you have the black wire coming from the switch that gives juice to the furnace going to line H. And that's where the juice is stopping.
Expert:  airheatman replied 11 months ago.

OK I drew them using RED and GRAY

Power is coming into the Junction box between Red and Gray

Does it come in and out of junction box?

Customer: replied 11 months ago.
the power is good all the way to the door switch, isn't there a way to by-pass the door switch?
Expert:  airheatman replied 11 months ago.

Yes, just connect the wires together coming in and out of the switch

Customer: replied 11 months ago.
I just checked this E ( purple colored) fuse in the furnace, and it looks blown, what does that do?
Customer: replied 11 months ago.
I did that and still nothing.
Expert:  airheatman replied 11 months ago.

THat does not make sense. If you have power to door switch, connect wire from other side of door swirth you should have power.

Customer: replied 11 months ago.
Still the same, what about the fuse?
Expert:  airheatman replied 11 months ago.

Fuse should not come into play as far as having voltage on both sides of switch.

Customer: replied 11 months ago.
Well I have the voltage meter hooked up to both connections of the switch and it's reading 125.2 going into the furnace.
Expert:  airheatman replied 11 months ago.

OK going into furnace but not between LH and L-N?

Expert:  airheatman replied 11 months ago.

Can you send a photo and then describe in photo where you have power?
