I have a Lennox Lss-35cp gas fireplace, replacing gas valve

Customer Question

I have a Lennox Lss-35cp gas fireplace, replacing gas valve with model RV8310E, Not piped the same, I see the main gas line goes into the rear. my old one was on the right side looking from the pump. on the other side the is a tee with 2 lines that come off it .looks like the new valve could be hooked up either in the side or the rear. it has a plug in the side and i took it out and it looks like it would work either way by just moving the plug to the rear and hooking it up the same as my old one?
JA: Just to clarify, what type of fireplace is this?
Customer: Lennox LSS-35cp
JA: Do you plan on doing the work yourself?
Customer: Yes, already apart
JA: Anything else we should know to help you best?
Customer: No, Just about the side hook up

Can you attach a photo? Normally that is correct the valve should be able to be connected from side or rear.
