i lite the pilot light in my boiler, then i turn the knob to the on position the pilot light turns off
JA: I'll do all I can to help. How long have you been dealing with this?
Customer: just when i try to light my pilot light and it won't so i replace the thermocouple
JA: Do you plan on doing the work yourself?
Customer: yes, i do know a little bit on heateers

If the pilot stays lit when you release the knob/button you hold down to light it but then goes out when you turn the dial to ON, that indicates a faulty gas control valve. The fix is to replace the gas valve.
