Does the single circuit running phase shifter leak?? I just

Customer Question

Hi, does the single circuit running phase shifter leak??
JA: I'll do all I can to help. How long have you been dealing with this?
Customer: I just moved here. CAN it leak. How do you know when it does
JA: Do you plan on doing the work yourself?
Customer: I don't know. WHY?
JA: Anything else we should know to help you best?
Customer: The trane gas furnace is 11 years old and in the attic, horizontal installation.
JA: Did you double-check the thermostat? And what about the pilot light?
Customer: It says there is no pilot light. A guy was here this morning to do a fall check on my system. I don't trust him.....

Can you be a bit more specific about what your tech is telling you?

Unless you have some special 3 phase furnace,it sounds like tech is blowing smoke up your butt.

Most gas furnaces are single phase . Phase shifting does not come into play except on 3 phase equipment.
