my weather king acclaim ii has no power to thermostat and on transformer it has 120 v to black wire when grounded to body but not to white wire
JA: Just to clarify, do you think this is a larger HVAC problem, or something specific to the thermostat?
Customer: larger problem the transformer doesnt have 24 volts comming out of it
JA: Do you plan on doing the work yourself?

What is model number on the furnace? If this is a gas furnace and we have 120v into transformer between black and white but no 24v out, the transformer is burned up.
