It had cool air for 10 minutes than powered off. I checked the power to the outlet, ok. I am an electronic tech for airplane instruments.

I didn't want to have to take the entire cover off. I have access to the circuit board located under the module for buttons, like, power, fan speed, temp etc

Not gonna be able to test anything on that, how old is unit? May be still under warranty, really what it seems like to me is a board malfunction since your getting it to work sporadic like the 10mins it ran then shuT off..

The flashing is a bad board, you can check this but you will need to replace that board. Let me know what you find
