We are installing a new rct8103 and are having problems matching the wires with the letters. Can you help?
JA: I'll do all I can to help. How long have you been dealing with this?
Customer: 15 min.
JA: Do you plan on doing the work yourself?
Customer: I our old thermostat, the first wire was red- R green- G, w was yello, and y was blue
JA: Just to clarify, do you think this is a larger HVAC problem, or something specific to the thermostat?
Customer: In our new one, we're not sure which colors to match them to.
JA: Anything else we should know to help you best?
Customer: No. Electricity off, base has been changed and we are at the process of installing the wires.

Wire same way as old.

Red to R with jumper to RC

Green to G

Yellow to W/AUX
