Customer Question

We are replacing a White & Rogers thermostat with a Honeywell. None of the letters on the W&R thermostat have the lettering the Honeywell does. How do we know what wire goes where?
JA: Just to clarify, do you think this is a larger HVAC problem, or something specific to the thermostat?
Customer: Thermostat. It quit working yesterday when our power went off.
JA: Do you plan on doing the work yourself?
Customer: Yes
JA: Anything else we should know to help you best?
Customer: White wire attached to W
Green wire attached to G
red wire attached to RC with a red jumper wire from Rh to RC
Blue wire attached to Y

The config you spell out sounds good for a typical heat/AC system. Is that how you have it wired on the new thermostat?
