Customer Question

My AC just went out a couple of days ago. I'm hoping the only problem is the capacitor, but I don't know how to test it.
JA: I'll do all I can to help. How long have you been dealing with this?
Customer: I just started. The points were burned a little but seemed to be working okay. I cleaned them. The exhaust fan runs.
JA: Do you plan on doing the work yourself?
Customer: I would like too.
JA: Anything else we should know to help you best?
Customer: I replaced the capacitor several years ago. The end with the wire connectors was expanded. This time it looks like it is flat.

Hello, if the capacitor is swollen, its bad, take photo's of it and mark with wires to to COM, Herm and Fan on the capacitor, then take it Grainger Industrial Supply for a match up....

Let me know how it goes.
