This is showing up on the thermostat?

No, the error shows up on the Amana condenser- code says it's the thermostat intermittent signal . After I reset everything
it is fine for a time 1 hour to 1 day, then it trips again and I reset again. I changed the thermostat from the Nest (thought that might be it) to a conventional Honeywell still trips.

Might be a bad board on your furnace. The thermostat sends a signal to the board, which in turn sends to outdoor unit.
