my name is Billy.

So if you set for 70

and unit kicks off at 84..

does it kick back on at 85 and cool to 84?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
when it gets higher than 84 it will turn on but as soon as it gets to 84 it will turn off

The only item in the system that can do this is the thermostat.

How old is the current thermostat?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I just changed it today because I thought that was the issue but it is still does the same thing.

the thermostat is the only item that can differentiate temperature. The rest of the system only experiences off/on. Does the indoor and outdoor stop at the same time?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I don't know but when I set the thermostat to on it will not turn on either
