Lenox G40 DF fan won't come on with AC. Hear AC unit come

Customer Question

Lenox G40 DF fan won't come on with AC. Hear AC unit come on, it's on the roof so can't see it, but fan won't come on in either auto or on setting. Both red and green lights slowly flash simultaneously so I know door switch is closed.

Sounds like maybe a bad fan motor, bad capacitor or issue with control board.

We would need a meter to troubleshoot. If you have a meter let me know.If not, You can get an inexpensive one at Walmart for about 15 bucks if you would like to troubleshoot and I would be happy to guide you.

Turn thermostat to call for AC and check between Neutral and Coo on board where fan wires connect. Then turn to heat and allow burners to light Then check between neutral and Heat terminals.
