Usually when you set that type of AC unit down to 60F it will ice the coil, the blower will run but no cold air will come out.... look that over, let me know what you can discover

Set no colder than 70F, especially at night or when its also cool outside... Amana is a good brand to look at if it will fit the space, 8,000 btu would be more suitable than 6,000 btu in most cases, Amana costs less that the Friedrich and has a better warranty.
