Why is my Trane XE80 shutting off suddenly?

Customer Question

I have a Trane XE80 AC/Furnace. Shut off unexpectedly. Blower fan turns on when running heat but not when manually on or when AC is running. Compressor turns on. Voltage from thermostat to all connections on board. Thought it might be the board so I replaced it.

When this happens do you have 24 volts to the G terminal on the board?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
All the terminals from the thermostat range 24-26 volts (including G) except C is at 0.It turns out the inducer fan turns on with the heat but the blower fan never turns on regardless of the setting. I think I've narrowed the problem to the blower or its capacitor.

Do you have 120 volts to the blower leads?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
My wife had a technician come out and it was the capacitor. Thanks for helping.
