Have Honeywell RTH 6500 thermostat with alternate wiring

Customer Question

Have Honeywell RTH 6500 thermostat with alternate wiring arrangement as there was no common wire on existing system. used fan wire as proxy for common. System worked well in heating mode (hot water heating), so no fan.
when I switch system to cool, AC compressor runs, but circulating blower fan does not operate. What do I do?

OK since you have used that G wire as your common. it will be necessary to go to the furnace or air handler and place a jumper from Y to G so that we energize blower along with the outdoor unit.

If you can give me model on indoor unit I will help you figure out where to place jumper.
