Just had installed a Rinnai 1250 gas log fire. flame

Customer Question

just had installed a Rinnai 1250 gas log fire.
flame illusion doesn't appear to change when on the remote it has the 7 bars or 1 bar.
question is that meant to be normal?
there are only a few flames that you can see eg. proper flame, what you see is the gas injections mainly being blue.
my understanding is that it should change the flame height and the logs should at least appear to be alight and glow.
thankyou Grant

The flame function on the remote does not control the actual flame itself. The flame button is for the illusion of the flame. In otherwords the picture.

Heater can be on low, but show a variety of flames to provide the ambience desired.

While heater is running, pressing the flame button should activate this feature. Then by pressing up or down arrows the picture should change as the bars displayed changes.

This has nothing to do with the actual flame or amount of gas burning, but simply the picture.

Thanks for that,
so if the picture flame doesn't change while pressing the arrows up or down, what is the reason and how can it be fixed, is there simple solution

THat is most likley an issue with the little control board in the unit and would need to be replaced.
