Customer Question

Hello our brivas ducted heating system is not working. It was initially blowing out cold air so I turned it off. When I turned the power point back on to restart the system it makes a zapping noise and clicking noise and it will not ignite. The system is about 23 years old.
A red light flashes on the system. Could u please help?

Ok I just had another go at turning it on. The pilot light is on (flame) but when I turn it to the on position nothing happens it just blows out cold air. The system is a brivas wombat 92

thank you...is your pilot on all the time?..or is a spark to light pilot?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
To lite pilot I sark it.
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I mean spark it
Expert:  BillyHvac replied 1 year ago.
thank you....do you see the rod in the pilot assembly? This either dirty or bad.It has to sense the flame and then approval to gas valve that all is ok. Yours appears to be defective or dirty
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Can I fix/clean it myself
Expert:  BillyHvac replied 1 year ago.
Yes. this the most basic item of maintenance to perform....just shut down...cool off....and clean the pilot rods. If it still faults you can simply replace the sense rod
