Been a Service tech for 35 years
this is bar none the oddest thing I have ever run into
Rheeem 3 ton horizontal AHURH1T36STANJA
located in fcentral florida
6 months old
wide open filtered return
cooling a small warehouse space
that customer seldom uses
Unit is blowing out a very fine white almost talcom like powder
opened up unit no visable source coils have some of the powder in them
NOTHING on return filter
what the hell could be the source. The aluminum coil?

Since it appears on coil but nothing on filter I suspect it has to be do with the aluminum coil (aluminum oxide). It s possible the aluminum was not properly cleaned before manufacturing of coil. Also not if there are ant chemicals stored in the warehouse that fumes could be being drawn across the coil.

Not sure what else issue could be since there is nothing on filter but it is on coil.Has to be some type of reaction or issue with the aluminum on.WE do not want your payment if you are dissatisfied with the service. I can request a refund if you would like.
