My Lennox G20Q5/6E runs fine until a warm day or thermostat

Customer Question

My Lennox G20Q5/6E runs fine until a warm day or thermostat change causes the furnace to be off for over an hour. It will not restart on its own. If I heat the pilot sensor with a flame it will restart when I close the damper and let the thermostat reopen it and spark the pilot. What unit is not working and can I get parts to repair it?

Hello again, you may not need any parts, just some plumbers sand cloth, cleaning that off with the sand cloth (emery paper) will fix the problem about half the time.

That can be step number one if you want.

Please hold your rating until we get the furnace diagnosed or repaired.
