I have a Honeywell RTH2410 thermostat I'm trying to hook up

Customer Question

I have a Honeywell RTH2410 thermostat I'm trying to hook up to an old system. The old system has wires labeled Y, G, R, O, C, & W2/E (on the same wire). Does the W2/E wire go into W/Aux and where does the C wire go? Thank you.

First of all let me point out that all though you can use this thermostat it is not ideal for use with the heat pump with backup heat. Note that there is no EMERGENCY heat selection on thermostat.

If you still want to proceed, yes the W2/E wire will go to W/AUX.

Common is not used with the 2410 so it will be taped off.
