I have a Taco 506 relay question using a nest Thermostat.

Customer Question

Hi I have a Taco 506 relay question using a nest Thermostat. Can this be accomplished with a two wire system?
JA: Thanks. Can you give me any more details about your issue?
Customer: No issue just researching to see if the nest will work with my system. its a 4 zone Buderus Boiler using a Taco 506 6 zone relay. All thermostats are currently only two wires but a third wire is present just not connected.
JA: OK got it. Last thing — HVAC Technicians generally expect a deposit of about $18 to help with your type of question (you only pay if satisfied). Not likely, the Nest steals power from the R wire and the SR506 is an isolation relay so there's usually no voltage across R & W.
