Wiring on Honeywell unit is:
Green -> G
Brown->XI assume this is a heat pump model correct?
Is the X acting as a C in this wiring?
Expert:  airheatman replied 1 year ago.

Can you give me model on old stat. Some of the old Honeywells used X as emergency heat and some used it as common. Also provide model on your outdoor unit

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Old stat is a RUUD 41-20804-16. Unit under the UBHC-14J11NFD is a Rheem RCBA-2457G
Expert:  airheatman replied 1 year ago.

Model on outdoor will tell me right off if this is a het pump if you can give me that

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
My mistake on calling old stat a Honeywell, as above it's a Ruud stat.
Expert:  airheatman replied 1 year ago.

One more quick question on stat, did it have an E terminal?

Expert:  airheatman replied 1 year ago.

OK I found it,The answer to your question is YES the X was Common so it will go to C on the Nest!

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Ok, outside unit is Ruud UPKB-024JAZ.
O, L and E are empty terminals on old stat

Can you confirm correct wiring to Nest 1st gen unit. Is system have dual heat sources and is Nest Pro setup needed?
Expert:  airheatman replied 1 year ago.

By dual heat do you mean gas backup?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I think you answered it for me. Nest wants to know if it uses a heat pump with a furnace, I guess the answer is no.
Expert:  airheatman replied 1 year ago.

The answer is no if you have electric backup strips.
