Customer Question

I have a Lennox 10hpb36-9p, a service tech replaced the contactor a year ago, noticed the unit staying on after the thermostat called for it to shut down, eventually the contactor failed completely, it was a Packard C 140a, so I ordered another one exactly like it and I am having problems with it immediately. Was wondering if the c140a is the correct part for that unit.

Give me a minute to see if I have resources to verify this.

That contactor should work fine.It is actually a 240 volt contactor,24 volt coil with up to 40 amps and resitance of 50.

The OEM contactor was only a 25 amp with resitance of 30.

Never hurts to be a bit heavier duty but can not go the other way. What issue are you having?
