I have a 5-year-old Lochinvar boiler model WBN080.

Customer Question

I have a 5-year-old Lochinvar boiler model WBN080. Intermittently, like once a year, or twice a year, it shuts down with Lockout - GV Relay Fail message. Hitting 'RESET' usually causes it to fire up again and run for another year or five months or whatever.
Over the past 4 days, it has gone offline with this error 5 times. The last time, hitting RESET did not got to the IGNITION message and failed again. So we cut the power, took the cover off, and unplugged the connector of the wiring harness at the top of the Gas Valve and plugged it back in.
After that, it did successfully ignite and is now running...who knows for how long. Is there anything else we can do before calling for service with a heating tech?

Sounds like you may have a bad gas valve.
