Customer Question

I have an older mobile home (1970 w. 752 sq ft) it has a heat pump. The furnace and heat pump constantly run together. The heat pump never shuts off unless I turn my heat down. Is this normal for the heat pum and the furnace to run together, constantly?

Heat pump should run by itself unless room temp is more than 3 degrees below what you are asking for at thermostat.(EX. If room is 70 and you turn thermostat to 73,only heat pump should run.If you turn thermostat to 78, both heat pump and furnace should run until room tem gets to about 75)
