Customer Question

I have a 2004 Lopi Pioneer I (Heritage I), i started smelling a plastic smell and a few days later the convection motor went out. I replaced it with a new generic one and it only lasted 1 season. I replaced it again 2 months ago and I am smelling the same smell again. could there be a cause for the motor to burn out so soon? Also the stove does not start on med. when turned on. Ken

I know it has been too long for a response. I think the issue was not easily answered since we do not know certain items. Does the shaft the motor attaches to spin easily or does it bind? Does the bearing end seem tight?

A binding drive can burn out a motor by having too much resistance...have you checked this?
