Customer Question

I have a HVAC unit Model # *****
What happens is I have a fault code #8 Ignition locked out due to recycles
What happens is the burner lights off but after about 10 seconds the flame drops out it continues to relight but again the flame drops out, eventually it locks out.
Can it be the hot surface igniter (flame rod)that is bad?

Should be a flame sensor located in last or next to last burner. It senses flame. If it is dirty it will cause flame to drop out. Pull sensor and clean with sand paper and retry . Russ
