What is question and what is model on thermostat?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
5-2 Honeywell Model RTH63507.
My tenant is reporting that when the thermostat reaches the assigned temperature (either via program, or set manually), the heat will switch on for ~10 seconds, then off for ~10 seconds, then on again and so on.
what would cause this?

OK first do you know if it has batteries and if they have replaced them if so?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Actually great question. I don't know if it has batteries or not. I can find out. does that model typically have batteries?
Expert:  airheatman replied 1 year ago.

yes the 6350 normally has 2 batteries inside,Have them pull front off of thermostat and replace them if they are there.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I am guessing that that is the issue. I am not sure how long it would be before I can get them to try that but we will start there. If that is not it I am guessing the unit is defective? One year warranty.

That is often the reason for erratic behavour like this.

I would start there

If that does not solve the issue, if they can get a volt meter and be ready to troubleshoot, I will be happy to guide in doing so.
