We have a Heaton glow unit with a model number I see 6732B – IPI I can turn the unit on and see the pilot flame on hohowever after 45 seconds or so unit turns itself off. I have reset the unit two or three times all with the same eventual outcome

Most likely the flame sensor needs to be cleaned. That will require gaining access to the burners, that is a relatively difficult task, is that in your skill set?
