I have a goodman hp model# ***** SERIAL #(###) ###-#### I just bought an ecobee3 thermostat and there are some settings that I don't know how to set (ie. Let me take look at the manuals and see what I can do.

.Minimum off time should be set to 240 seconds,This will prevent short cycle of compressor but allow unit to keep up with demand

.Min outdoor temp should be set to around 25 degrees. This s the balance point at which it is more practical for the backup heat to take over as efficiency of the heat pump starts to become ineffective.

.Heat/Cool Min Delta should be set to at least 6 degrees to prevent unit from switching back and forth between heat and cool modes

.Comp min off time and comp min outdoor temp should be set as above min time and temp
