We have 2 Rheem # ROBO-150rbja oil fired furnaces twinned

Customer Question

Hello, We have 2 Rheem # ***** oil fired furnaces twinned together installed about 13 -16 years ago I've been told. We would like to replace them as problems do to age. What does Rheem have currently that would fit this application? they fire at there hi end of 1.35 GPH and output 302,400 BTU's. Also does Rheem make a kit to twin or is jumper all that needed? the other question I have is originally they had one circuit for both units and couple years ago they were told by an electrical contractor that this was wrong and put each unit on separate circuit. I realize that both fans have to run together when operating is this alright as long as they come off the same bar at the panel or will this create a problem? Thank you, Bill

Welcome to Just Answer, my name is ***** ***** I will do my best to help you with your issue. If my initial response doesn’t answer your question then let me know and we can continue our conversation.

The ROCA/ROLA (ROCA=hghboy, ROLA=lowboy) are what's currently available. Max output from either is 143k at 1.25 pgh firing rate. There is no twinning kit that I'm aware of but you don't need one. Each furnace should be on it's own circuit to comply with current code requirements.
