I have a gas furnace and a heat pump and a TH 8320U1008

Customer Question

I have a gas furnace and a heat pump and a TH 8320U1008 Honeywell thermostat. The system is set for the heat pump to furnish heat mostly, but when the outside temperature drops to 40, the furnace comes on. Can an adjustment be made to have the furnace come on at 45 or 50?

Look at this screen shot please and tell me if the number shown in red in this screen shot is for *humidity or outside air temperature.

I also need the brand and model number of your heat pump that sits outside.

It will also help me give you a much better answer if you tell me why you want the heat pump to shut off at 50F outside air temperature instead of the usual 30 to 35F.
