To be clear, this is for replacing existing furnace/AC. I am looking for a fair price based on install, including minor duct work (just above the furnace)

1.Do you know the model on the zoning package ?

2.Do you currently have zoning with old system

3.Where are you located geographically? (prices will vary tremendously from say rural Mississippi to Downtown Chicago or Sacremento.

4. What size units (Tons or btus)?

Also clarify the XC18 is not a typo. The Lennox XC series jumps from 17 to 21

I do not know the model off the zoning system. I currently have a zoning system, but they say it needs to be replaced to match the new system.Zip: 08048SLP98 90k and 70kXC18 is 3-ton
XC21 is 4-tonRE: XC18 - Maybe it's this one?

OK below are some good general price ranges. Remember prices are also going to vary between contractors as a smaller company with a couple of techs has a much lower operating cost than large company with 8 techs and 3 or 4 office personnel.

The 3 ton 18 SEER ....................5500 to 6000

The 4 ton 21 SEER......................7000 to 7500

Zone System can be anywhere from 1500 to 3000 depending on the system.

I know these are a bit vague, but will give you a pretty good idea.

Are you able to clue me in on the furnaces?
Expert:  airheatman replied 1 year ago.

Not sure I understand the question about the furnaces. The prices above include furnace, coil and outdoor unit.

I didn't see it listed, and I guess I was surprised by the price - much lower than initial quote. I will be getting a few more estimates. Thanks for the quick response.

you are suggesting a smaller business will be cheaper than a larger one?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
you are factoring in labor, any parts, etc?

Here are a couple of links to info on the furnaces.

I would get at least 3 estimates on this unless you have a hvac contractor that you know and trust.

Prices I am giving are based on average retail costs.

The 3 ton would cost wholesale about 3000 and the 4 ton about 3800 .

Retail prices are going to vary based on company's operating costs.

A smaller company will be able to provide same quality installation much cheaper as they are not having to pay for salesmen and secretaries, buildings, insurance costs, etc all are cheaper.
