I am housesitting. The cooling is not working on the hvac system and I think it could be the thermostat. Is there a way I can cancel all programming on the thermostat? I have read the instructions, and it says how to override, but when i do what it says, nothing happens. the thermostat reads 86 degrees,

Hello, Have you pressed the HOLD button...then set for cool and the the temp desired while hold appears in window?
