Old compressor cooled AC locked up. Touched off valves

Customer Question

old compressor for water cooled AC locked up. Touched off valves (at very high heat) then reused when new compressor installed. Leaks Freon at that joint. Doesn't subjecting old valve to that much heat "age it" so that it is apt to fail?

Hello,I need you to attach 3 or 4 photo's of the unit showing the compressor inside from about 5 feet away, from 3 different angles, and one photo close up that shows the leak. Use the paper clip icon above for that. Tell me please what refrigerant it uses and what refrigerant you have added recently. We can go from there. .
