My heat pump air hander fan "pulses" then runs normally to

Customer Question

My heat pump air hander fan "pulses" then runs normally to get house to set /c temperature. It's an older Carrier System. I think an electrical switch or relay may be bad. Where and what should I look for?

Hello. My name is ***** ***** I'll do my best to help. Let's get started and see what we can do.I would start by checking to see if fan has a capacitor. If so check that capacitor to make sure it is not weak. If you can provide model on furnace,I should be able to tell you if it has one. See link below

I would start by checking the capacitor to make sure it is within 35 of rating marked on capacitor. If you do not have a capacitor tester, you can remove it and take it to an appliance parts store and they will check it for you.
