I have a hunter 44905 thermostat and I'm getting an error message

I have a hunter 44905 thermostat and I'm getting an error message of check HVAC..
The AC was working and then just quit. I have replaced the batteries in the unit and reset it to factory default. Any ideas?

Is the re a water safety shut off switch in the drain line from the indoor unit?

I looked and i can't find a water shutoff switch..what would it look like? Also there wasn't much water in the drip pan...

It would be a switch in a drain pipe leaving the ac coil indoors or a switch on the safety pan (or both)
