does blower run if thermostat fan switch is "on" instead of "auto"

Customer: replied 2 years ago.

No. The blower doesn't come on whether on "auto" or "on." Shall I connect the R and G terminals on the circuit board to test if the blower comes on? I was reading another post and was thinking that could be a next step...

the basic test is if the blower gets 120v or not.

120v present to motor but not running = bad motor
no 120v to motor = bad circuit board

R and G is supposed to close a blower relay...but you might as well skip right to the issue and test power to the motor
Customer: replied 2 years ago.

Thanks Billy. How would I test that on the WeatherMaster 8000? There seem to be 5 leads from the board to the blower - black, red, yellow, white, blue...

in cooling you will want to test the black wire (while blower should be running)

One meter lead to black motor wire terminal and other meter lead to ground
