I am trying to figure out how to reset my AC unit-- Carrier

Customer Question

I am trying to figure out how to reset my AC unit-- Carrier Puron Model number 38SYGO60300. The circuit breaker went out and the unit was turned off for sometime. I reset the breaker but the unit is still off and I am not sure how to reset it. Thanks

Hello, If the circuit breaker tripped this is not a problem that can be resolved by any kind of reset .... you can try turning the thermostat OFF, witing 5 minutes and turning it back on. A tripped breaker points most generally to bad 'run capacitor" $70 item, or a bad compressor. $1,000 or so. Tell me a lot about your technical background and if you have a two wire multi meter or not so that I can work with you most effectively/ We can go from there.
