Hi jerry, last winter I switched my old trane weathertron for a honeywell rh7500d and at the time I only checked if the heat was working (which it did) but now that it's summer I've realized the ac isn't kicking on it only does the fan. Some more reference I have a trane xl1200 outdoor unit (that when switched on clicks but nothing happens)

1. Honeywell rth7500d 2. Trane bwv736a100e1 3. Trane xl1200 4. Blue=c green=g yellow=y orange=o/b red=rc/r White=aux wires brown and black are taped off 5. Yes

Lets turn thermostat to COOL> (May have a 5 minute delay.If so COOL may flash on thermostat). Once COOL is solid on thermostat Then go to outdoor unit. There locate the Blue wire from C and the yellow wire coming from Y and see if we get 24 volts AC between those wires.
