Customer Question

I have a Hayward H100IDP1 pool heater. I keep it stored in my garage during winter
The burner did ignite when i first opened the pool but has since stopped working.
I bought a new cartridge filter recently and cleaned it.
I the electric igniter does try to light the burner but i think the gas valve just won't open to ignite.
Could it be the thermocouple ?

This unit doesn't have a thermocouple. Do you have 24 vac at the gas valve when the igniter is arcing?
Customer: replied 2 years ago.
What is vac. I was wondering since it was running when I first started it. isomething may have been in the outdoor gas line and clogged the valve.

I understand since it's a electric ignitor there isn'the a pilot and no thermocouple. How can I check for 24 vac?
Expert:  Rick replied 2 years ago.
24 volts AC. You need a multi-meter to check the voltage
