I have a Rinnai avenger it was flashing error 12, so I cleaned

Customer Question

Hi I have a Rinnai avenger it was flashing error 12, so I cleaned both oxygen sensors and checked there resistance. A few days later it has started flashing error 13 (combustion controller) after it is running for a few minutes. I am an auto elec and I have rechecked the work I carried out to the unit

Is the unit getting proper air? vent pipe clear...burners clean?

It is usally a general maintenace issue unless there is a lack of gas pressure.
Customer: replied 2 years ago.
Unit is clean jets have good flow, good gas flow at heater, heater is working now however it is now inttermitently flashing error 13 flashes and stops working when fault code flashes
Expert:  BillyHvac replied 2 years ago.
You either have a bad sensor or a board
Customer: replied 2 years ago.
What sensor would cause this fault code?
Expert:  BillyHvac replied 2 years ago.
RIt is actually referred to as a combustion control.

The problem is that this is model specific and must be purchased from a Rinnai Dealer ora contractor servicing Rinnai units.

Hi what is a RIt sensor? or could you please explain your previous response

there is no sensor on the wiring diagram with this acronym

Expert:  BillyHvac replied 2 years ago.
It will be logged as combustion controller.

Hi I understand that error 13 stands for combustion controller as I stated in my first message. I don't believe that you have really answered any of my questions as your answers have been vague. Also if you read my questions I state that I have already attended to the general servicing ect of the unit.
