I got a message on my Honeywell ac thermostat that the batteries were low. Then the LCD lights went off. I replaced the batteries but now no LED lights, no A/C. What should I do now?

Russ here. Welcome. I am here to help. Please do not rate until you are satisfied with answer. Always available for follow up questions.
Make sure batteries are installed properly first. Next pull front off thermostat and take a small wire and place between R and G to see if fan comes on. It may a take a few seconds because of time delay in fan. If you have a voltmeter that will help. Voltage set on AC read between R and any terminal that has wires for 24 volts and let me know. If fan does not run let me know. Is this a gas furnace or heat pump. Russ
