Customer Question

I have a keeprite gas furnace model C8mpv075f14. It stopped circulating air conditioning on the weekend. Repair people now tell me the furnace needs a new motor at a cost of $1400 while my friend just put one in his furnace for a few hundred dollars. Does what the repair guy says make sense? Is this the correct cost?

$1400 to replace a furnace blower motor is pretty steep but a few hundred is more like the cost of just the motor. I'd suggest you get a couple more quotes. I'd expect a number well under $1000 perhaps closer to $1000 if the furnace is in a really difficult spot to get to the blower.
