I have a Payne furnace that the fan will not shut off automatically

This answer was rated:

I have a Payne furnace that the fan will not shut off automatically or manually. It continues to run unless I unplug the unit.
Can you help?

there is one easy test to decide what is wrong if you dont mind unhooking one wire in the furnace?

Customer: replied 3 years ago.

I will be glad to give it a try

Renove the doors from furnace.
Locate where the thermostat wires attach in the furnace.

The wire we are after is on G terminal.

Remove that wire and turn power back on.

If blower continues = bad circuit board with stuck relay.
If blower stops = bad thermostat or short in thermostat wire.

Terminal was labeled GC. Disconnected, replaced cover, and plugged back in and fan began to blow again.

What is typical cost to replace circuit board?

Do you have the model number of the furnace? Then I can more specific
