Our display panel on our thermostat (model 1F86-344) is not working. What do we need to do?

Rick :

Welcome, my name is XXXXX XXXXX I will do my best to help you with your issue.

Have you tried replacing the batteries?

Customer:

How do we get to the batteries?

Customer:

How do we do that?

Rick :

You pull the cover straight off.

Rick :

Batteries are at the top

Customer:

How do we do that? We cannot remove the thermostst from the wall.

Rick :

You don't remove the thermostat. You just remove the cover by grabbing it by the sides or top & bottom and pull the cover straight off. The cover just snaps on and off

Customer:

Yep, that does it. We will see if it displays with new batteries.

Customer:

Thanks.

Rick :

You're welcome! If after replacing the batteries (turn the power off to your furnace before replacing them) you still have no screen display. You can try resetting the thermostat by pressing , and move the SYSTEM switch from OFF to HEAT at the same time
