I have a Janitrol model (GMP075-3). There seem to be a problem

Resolved Question:

I have a Janitrol model (GMP075-3). There seem to be a problem with the burner. It won't stay lite. When the unit is first turned on both the burner and the blower is working, but seconds later the burner goes out and the blower continues to blow. Can you tell me what could be causing this to happen?

How many times is light blinking on circuit board when this happens?

Customer: replied 6 years ago.
There are no light blinking. There is only a solid red light.
Expert:  BillyHvac replied 6 years ago.

Solid red light means normal. Or thermostat is not turning on the furnace. Run until it shuts down and see if light blinks....

I will wait.

Customer: replied 6 years ago.
The red light stays on. It doesn't blink
Expert:  BillyHvac replied 6 years ago.

Thank you mind removing the thermostat?

we want to take the wire from R and the wire from W and twist them together direct. Thi will bypass the thermostat and tell us which way to go.

Customer: replied 6 years ago.

I have twisted the red and white wire. What's next?

Expert:  BillyHvac replied 6 years ago.

What is the furnace doing now that red and white are connected?

and the light?

Customer: replied 6 years ago.
it is doing the same thing. The light is still solid.
Expert:  BillyHvac replied 6 years ago.

Ok, turn switch off on side of front of the burner on the left side is a metal rod with a white ceramic base...use a piece of steel wool and clean that rod. Then turn power back on....leave r and w twisted for now...

Customer: replied 6 years ago.
I clean it as best as I could and the problem is still there.

If you have a solid light still and unit is not running it will most likely be a bad circuit board.

Here are blink codes

When a fault is discovered by the system the LED will blink in the following manner;

Steady "OFF" - No power or internal fault

Steady "ON" - No fault found - unit functioning properly

1 Flash - Failed ignition or flame drop-out

2 Flashes - Pressure switch open with flue venter running

3 Flashes - Pressure switch closed with flue venter off

4 Flashes - Main limit switch open

5 Flashes - Flame detected with gas valve closed (de-energized)

6 Flashes - Compressor output delayed from short cycle/staging timer

7 Flashes - Fault detected in 1104-1 operation

Since your light says OK...but it si not running leads me to bad circuit board.
