The Nordyne gas furnace in my mobile home is not igniting.

Customer Question

The Nordyne gas furnace in my mobile home is not igniting. The led light is flashing red twice---the troubleshooting plaque says that means the pressure switch is open. How do I fix it? Thanks. [email protected]

M Oglesby :

Hello

M Oglesby :

I am here to assist you with your furnace.

M Oglesby :

What is the model number of the furnace?

M Oglesby :

Is it possible for you to remove the furnace panel doors, take a picture, and attach it to this chat?

M Oglesby :

Make sure the camera is as close as possible.

Customer:

Model # XXXXX XXXXX

Customer:

Not too savvy about the photo thing

M Oglesby :

Is there an inducer Combustion Fan on this system?

Customer:

I don't know what one looks like

Customer:

is it the large circular fan at the top of the system?

M Oglesby :

If there is one, It would be located inside the furnace cabinet connected to the flue pipes. I will have a rubber hose attached to it that connects to a semi round device.

M Oglesby :

It may be the large circular fan at the top.

M Oglesby :

Check to see if this fan has a rubber hose attached to it.

Customer:

no sign of a hose

M Oglesby :

Some models don't have a hose, but I beleive this is your Inducer combustion Fan

M Oglesby :

On a call for heat, does this fan come on?

Customer:

not if the thermostat is set on "heat" oposition. If I turn the heat off, the fan will come on

M Oglesby :

Inside the furnace cabinet do you see any device that has a rubber hose attached to it?

Customer:

no, everything looks metallic in there

M Oglesby :

I have opted out so another technician can assist you.
