Customer: replied 6 years ago.

I am not sure. the manual says it is ARUF, ARPF, ARPT and ADEPT Series Air Handler. It is for a mobile home.

Chris

Has anything been changed on unit or thermostat. Russ

Customer: replied 6 years ago.

The transformer was changed to try to get the central A/C working which was to no avail.

Chris

Customer: replied 6 years ago.

he wants to know where he should pull the wire from.

Chris

Customer: replied 6 years ago.

Is it the transformer wire or the unit wire? You cannot use the white on the transformer is not 220.Chris

Customer: replied 6 years ago.

Do you have any more advice for us?

Chris

Sorry system crash here. You have thermostat wires coming into unit. Use the Red and white wire and jumper these. We are trying to eliminate thermostat and wiring to thermostat. Russ
Customer: replied 6 years ago.
Is this the red and white wire from the themostat or the unit.
Jumper at thermostat is that is easier. Russ
Customer: replied 6 years ago.
I will have to go to the rental house and check to see if this will work and then get back to you.

Check to make sure fan works in on position. Russ

Customer: replied 6 years ago.
Ok I will have to check and then get back to you.
No problem. Double check model number and see if you can see manuafacturer. Russ
Customer: replied 6 years ago.
Ok.
Let me know what happens. Russ
Customer: replied 6 years ago.

Russ,

He put the red and white wires together. turned it on and still only cold air.

If this is electric heat not a heat pump and you have checked elements. It is the sequencer that brings on heat strips. Replace sequencer. Russ
Customer: replied 6 years ago.

What is the sequencer? Here is the model number ARUFA-A 04200A-1A

Serial number is XXXXXXXXXX It is electric heat and not a heat pump.

It is the heat relays that energize the electric heat. Russ
Customer: replied 6 years ago.
They are located where?
Open blower door. They are located at top furnace. Black relays maikn power goes thru sequencers to elemnets. Russ
Customer: replied 6 years ago.

Where would the best place to purchase the sequencers? Are there 2 or 4 of them?

Do you have fuse or breaker on airhandler in front of elements. Russ
Customer: replied 6 years ago.

2 double pole breakers.

15 KW heat. Unusual for all the heat to stop working . Go to www.americanhvacparts.com Type SEQ1370738 see if this looks like your sequencer. Russ
Customer: replied 6 years ago.
The furnace was never very hot from the start.. I will check on this.
Customer: replied 6 years ago.
Yes, this is what they look like. There are two of them.
If you have a voltmeter turn on heat and be very careful ans check the voltage across the two bottom terminals. terminals on either side of sequeencer. Russ
Customer: replied 6 years ago.

What should it read?

Should read 24 volts. Russ
Customer: replied 6 years ago.
If these are bad, would they cause the central air not to work?
No only heat. Russ
Customer: replied 6 years ago.
Is each sequencer supposed to 24 volts or is it a combination of the two?
It chould have 24 volts across each sequencer. Ru
Customer: replied 6 years ago.
He is going to check it tomorrow. If they have the 24 volts across them, do you think they are bad?
If you have 24 volts across bottom low voltage terminals bad sequencer. Russ
Customer: replied 6 years ago.
He will try it in the morning.
I will be here all day tomorrow. Russ
Customer: replied 6 years ago.
He will get back to you as soon as he can. Thanks so far.
