I have a Rheem 41-20804-15 thermostat, changing to a Honeywell

I have a Rheem 41-20804-15 thermostat, changing to a Honeywell RTH3100c. Yep, I have a heat pump. Hooked it all up but get no system response.

On Rheem:
G-green
R-red
B-blue
O-empty
Y-yellow
W2&E-white with jumper
X-brown
L-empty

On Honeywell:
E&Aux-white with jumper
Y-yellow
G-green
O-empty
L-empty
R-red
B-blue
C-brown

I must be doing something wrong? Would really appreciate some good imput.

when you switch the fan to on, does the indoor fan come on?

i'll check

ok...i'll be here

yes it does

Customer:

the blower is so dirty that it is hard to tell

Customer:

just bought the house

wow..ok so the fan comes on.

Douglas :

but the outdoor unit does not?

Customer:

nope

Douglas :

ok...switch the fan back to ato and switch it to cooling and turn it down and tell me what happens

Customer:

came on! I fiddled with the jumper and tried b4 turning on the fan

Douglas :

can I ask why you replaced the thermostat?

Douglas :

the outdoor unit came on?

Customer:

was told that the rheem needed to be replaced. it had to be manually turned on and off

Customer:

outdoor is on!

Customer:

geez. it was just the jumper i suppose

Customer:

or you are just a good luck charm

well, I am that, but it usually doesnt work without me rubbing my rabbits foot
